beauty in the mundane

So, over the past few weeks I have literally been all over the place- Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, at home in Boston and everywhere in between. While I was in NYC I saw the excellent William Eggleston show which is up at the Whitney right now and was reminded again why I make photographs. The quality of his prints are incredibly rich in tone and saturation, and his ability to create interesting photographs from everyday, mundane subject matter is still an inspiration even after so many years. Now I am gushing. Anyway, this mini series, an assortment of photos from the past few weeks, is an homage to Eggleston...
